Abstract
Purpose: To determine whether autogenous tooth bone graft (ATB) in combination with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is beneficial for the success and survival rate of dental implant operated simultaneously with maxillary sinus bone graft.

Materials and Methods: Subjects of this study were patients who visited Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Ulsan University Hospital from 2012 to 2014 and had implant operation simultaneously with maxillary sinus bone graft using ATB plus PRP. Age, gender, site, follow up period, remaining bone height before operation, diameter and length of implant, sinus mucosa impairment, postoperative complication were investigated and success, survival rate was evaluated according to these conditions.

Results: Total of 23 patients and 67 implants were included in this study. Average age of patients was 53.78¡¾10.00 years. Average total follow up period was 37¡¾6 months and average follow up period after prosthetic installation was 29¡¾5 months. Implant success rate and survival rate after prosthesis was 95.52% and 97.01%, respectively.

Conclusion: Combination of ATB and PRP showed high overall success rate and it can be concluded that this combination is a predictable bone graft procedure for sinus augmentation.
